Agent: De Boer going nowhere

Ajax manager Frank de Boer will not leave the Dutch side to take over at Newcastle United as a replacement for the outgoing Alan Pardew, according to his agent.

Various media sources have touted De Boer as a favourite for the St James' Park job after Pardew was given permission to speak to Crystal Palace about their vacancy.

But Guido Albers, De Boer's representative, told Sports that no contact has been made.

"Frank will never leave Ajax during this season," Albers said. "There has been no contact to myself, or Ajax, from another club for Frank.

"We have received no approach at this stage."

De Boer has been in charge of Ajax since 2010 winning four straight League titles.
