Blackpool - Rotherham United preview - Millers misses Millers clash

Posted Saturday, December 27, 2014 by PA

Ishmael Miller will serve a suspension when bottom-of-the-table Blackpool welcome Rotherham to Bloomfield Road.

The striker was dismissed in the dying embers of the loss to Sheffield Wednesday on Friday, which leaves the Seasiders 10 points away from safety.

Fellow forward Steven Davies (neck) was forced off in the first half and is doubtful, while defenders Darren O'Dea and Donervon Daniels (both hamstring) also came off.

Nyron Nosworthy (groin) failed a late fitness test on Boxing Day, Nile Ranger has not been at training for two weeks, while Jose Miguel Cubero (ankle), Gary MacKenzie (Achilles) and Tom Barkhuizen (broken arm) are all targeting January returns.

Rotherham boss Steve Evans will change his side around.

Evans has kept the same side for four games in a row but after they put in a poor display against Huddersfield, despite earning a point with two late goals, he will make changes at Bloomfield Road.

Jonson Clarke-Harris and Lee Frecklington both came off the bench to score against the Terriers and they are in the frame for a starting berth.

Evans will also assess his walking wounded when they train on Saturday.
