Alloa Athletic 1 : 1 Queen of South - Alloa stop the rot

Struggling Alloa picked up their first point since mid-November in a 1-1 draw with Queen of the South.
The Wasps had lost four in a row in the second tier but stopped the rot thanks to Kevin Cawley's strike 15 minutes from time.
Despite their recent poor form, Liam Buchanan could have sent Alloa ahead inside the opening 10 minutes only to be denied by goalkeeper Alexander Clark's foot.
Clark would deny Greig Spence before half-time and the visitors led at the break when Derek Lyle applied the finishing touch to Daniel Carmichael's cross in the 41st minute.
Alloa continued to create chances, though, and Kyle Benedictus's free header hit the post early in the second period.
Cawley did ensure the spoils would be shared as he collected Ryan McCord's pass and fired in a deserved leveller.
