Brechin City vs Dunfermline preview - Tapping to miss out

Brechin miss only Callum Tapping because of a serious knee injury as they host Dunfermline.

Glebe Park manager Ray McKinnon is looking for his men to build on their stealth-like approach to moving towards a play-off place.

He explained: "We are unbeaten in 10 games and have climbed the table but no-one has really noticed as we have drawn too many times. If we could beat a big club in Dunfermline then we will no longer be under the radar but have announced ourselves as promotion candidates.

"Dunfermline were unlucky to lose against Stranraer last weekend so we need to be aware of a backlash."

Dunfermline are without Ryan Williamson, who has a knee injury.

However, Ryan Wallace is pushing for a starting place after impressing as a substitute in last Saturday's 1-0 defeat from Stranraer following a pelvic injury.

Recently-appointed manager John Potter takes the Pars in his second game in charge, and he said: "We made lots of chances against Stranraer but failed to take them and that has happened a lot this season and I am looking for the players to turn that around against Brechin.

"They have been on a good run but I am confident that we can go there and win."
