Airdrie are without defender David Proctor due to a groin injury as they host Ayr at the Excelsior Stadium.

Diamonds boss Gary Bollan is looking for his side to continue moving away from issues at the foot of the table.

He said: "We were strong at home in our last game when we beat Dunfermline and we then went and secured a deserved draw at leaders Forfar. I am looking to build on those results with a win over Ayr.

"It will not be easy as they got a reaction from the appointment of Andy Millen as interim manager last weekend and I expect that to continue."

Ayr are without Martyn Campbell (knee) and Paul Slane (hamstring). while Adam Cummings has returned to Motherwell at the end of his loan spell.

Caretaker boss Andy Millen said: "We only have a small squad so to lose three players from it takes us down to low numbers but we simply have to get on with things.

"The players battled to the final whistle last weekend to get a deserved point against Stirling.

"We will need that same approach again as Airdrie is always a tough venue and they are enjoying a decent run of form."
