Coventry had two men sent off as they crashed to a 2- 0 defeat against a Doncaster side who won only their second home game of the season.

Adam Barton and James Maddison were shown the red card for second bookable offences in the final 16 minutes but by then the damage had already been done.

Doncaster, with only one win in their last 14 home games, made a dream start with a goal in the second minute.

Man-of-the-match Harry Forrester delivered a superb right-wing cross that was headed home powerfully by Andy Butler at the far post.

Forrester was outstanding as he lead the visitors' defence a merry dance in attack and he grabbed the second goal with an angled shot in off the far post after exchanging passes with Dean Furman in the 22nd minute.

Coventry played some excellent football as they battled hard to get back in the game but they never troubled home goalkeeper Sam Johnstone as Jim O'Brien hit a good chance wide before the break.

Forrester almost grabbed a third when he grazed the post after the break and Coventry's hopes of a fight back were ended with the double dismissal for separate incidents late in the game.
