Portsmouth vs AFC Wimbledon preview - As you were for Pompey

Posted Wednesday, December 24, 2014 by PA

Portsmouth could be unchanged for the visit of AFC Wimbledon.

Defender Danny East (groin) and striker Tom Craddock (knee) are stepping up their recoveries from long-term injuries but will not be considered until the new year.

Midfield duo Wes Fogden and James Dunne remain sidelined by knee injuries.

Boss Andy Awford will therefore be tempted to stick with the side which ended a run of five straight defeats on the road by drawing 1-1 at Cheltenham on Saturday.

Wimbledon have a doubt over striker Adebayo Akinfenwa.

The burly frontman limped off after just five minutes against Mansfield on Saturday and was sorely missed as the Dons slipped to a 1-0 home defeat.

Ade Azeez came on as a substitute but was later replaced himself by George Oakley, with both now vying to partner Matt Tubbs if Akinfenwa is ruled out.

Defenders Jack Smith (hamstring) and Andy Frampton (ankle) are set to miss out again.
