Dagenham and Redbridge vs Stevenage Borough preview - Burnett to shuffle Daggers squad

Dagenham manager Wayne Burnett could shuffle his pack ahead of his side's Boxing Day encounter with Stevenage.

The Daggers, who currently sit 20th in the Sky Bet League Two table, just two points above the drop zone, slumped to their second successive defeat against Plymouth at the weekend, and Burnett could opt to shake things up.

Midfielder Luke Howell was named on the bench on Saturday after returning from a three-match suspension and he could return to the starting line-up.

On-loan Bury defender Joe Widdowson made his full debut last time out and will be hoping to keep his place in the side.

Stevenage boss Graham Westley will continue to monitor striker Lee Barnard ahead of the trip.

On-loan Southend forward Barnard was forced off in the 15th minute of Saturday's 1-0 victory over Exeter with an ankle injury but he could recover in time to play some part.

Midfielder Charlie Lee, who had been struggling with flu, stepped off the bench to replace Barnard before scoring an 84th-minute winner, and he could be called upon to deputise if the former Southampton marksman misses out.

Midfielder Jack Jebb, on loan from Arsenal, is likely to be out until the new year after undergoing surgery on a knee injury last week.
