Bristol City vs Yeovil Town preview - Williams missing for City
Posted Wednesday, December 24, 2014 by PA
Bristol City will be without defender Derrick Williams when they welcome Yeovil to a sold-out Ashton Gate.
The defender saw red in their 1-0 defeat at Crewe on Saturday having picked up two yellow cards so he will now serve a one-match ban.
Boss Steve Cotterill will assess Joe Bryan and Wade Elliott before naming his side. Bryan missed that shock loss with a thigh strain he picked up in training while captain Elliott limped off with a calf problem, making the pair both doubts.
The Robins hold a one-point lead at the top of Sky Bet League One heading into the Boxing Day fixtures.
Gary Johnson has hinted at a number of changes to his Yeovil side ahead of the short trip.
The Glovers were beaten by Colchester on Saturday and their manager spoke of 'having a real look at it' and he will hope Kieffer Moore is able to feature having missed out on that 1-0 home defeat with an ankle injury.
Johnson may switch from his 4-5-1 formation with the likes of James Hayter, Ryan Inniss and James Berrett pushing to start.
This match is the first meeting between the sides since 2007.
