Hearts boss Robbie Neilson has recalled striker Gary Oliver from his loan spell at Stenhousemuir ahead of Saturday's Tynecastle clash with Alloa.

Sam Nicholson and Dale Carrick could feature after shaking off knocks but Neilson has called Oliver back early as Osman Sow continues to miss out with a thigh strain.

Now Neilson has challenged the teenager to provide the goals which fire the Jambos to the Scottish Championship title.

He said: "We have a few games coming up and need as many players available as possible.

"The loan was good experience for Gary and I think he enjoyed it. I had him watched and he proved he can comfortably play at that level.

"He'll now come back to us and it's time for him to move up another level."

Alloa welcome back Jason Marr and Graeme Holmes to their ranks after injuries while Jonathan Tiffoney, David Weatherston and Kevin Cawley could also be involved despite a lack of recent game time.

Missing for the Wasps are the injured Iain Flannigan (back) and Adam Ashgar (foot).

Manager Barry Smith saidg: "Hearts are on a terrific run but we will go there and be positive. We gave them a really hard game at our place before losing to a late goal so we can go to Tynecastle and compete.

"We did not get justice at Hibs last weekend and I looking for better in the capital this time."
