Wolfsburg vs Koln preview - Hunt unhappy at Wolfsburg

Wolfsburg midfielder Aaron Hunt says he regrets moving to the club in the summer, revealing he has not spoken with coach Dieter Hecking in four months.

Ahead of their final game of the year at home to Cologne on Saturday, Hunt, who arrived from Werder Bremen over the summer, regrets his move and suggested he may return to his former club this winter.

"Of course I'm in a situation which is not satisfactory for me," Hunt told Kicker magazine. "Yet I don't think I've done anything that can be criticised.

"I've not spoken to him (Hecking) for four months. I know what I would have or had in Bremen and it was clear that I would never have that again at another club."

The chances of his situation improving do not seem to have been improved by those remarks with Hecking saying on Friday that he will "have to live with not being considered" if he "has his mind on other things and does not identify fully with Wolfsburg."

There would be no reason for Hecking to alter his side anyway for their final game of 2014.

"Of course we want to beat Cologne so that we can crown a fabulous year," Hecking told the Bild newspaper.

"The way we play and the attractiveness of our football is winning us plenty of fans."

It has also earned them the label as the only team able to stop Bayern Munich from winning the Bundesliga title this season.

"I don't really think we are," Hecking said. "The truth is we're 11 points behind them and Bayern don't have the games like we have where we only draw 1-1 with Paderborn - they win them 2-1."

Meanwhile, Cologne on Friday announced that goalkeeper Timo Horn and midfielder Matthias Lehmann have both extended their contracts.

"They're both important members of the squad and we know what we're getting from them, but at the same time they also know that this is the right decision to stay with Cologne," said coach Peter Stoger.
