Greenock Morton vs Peterhead preview - Morton set for double boost

Sean Crighton and Connor Pepper come back into the reckoning for Morton ahead of the visit of Peterhead.

Crighton and Pepper are available again after serving suspensions. Thomas O'Ware could also be back in the squad on Saturday - if he passes a fitness test. Groin injuries will keep Nicolas Caraux and Reece Hands on the sidelines though.

Cappielow manager Jim Duffy is looking for his men to put in a 90-minute performance in this game, as he explained: "Last week against Brechin we were poor for the first half hour and were deservedly two goals down.

"We were much stronger after that and battled back for a draw and if we are to beat Peterhead then we need to play for the entire game."

Peterhead boss Jim McInally adds the fit-again Scott Ross to his squad as he returns to the Greenock club for the first time since leaving as their manager back in 2008.

David Cox is struggling to make the game after missing training through illness this week, while the injured Ross Smith (knee) and Ryan McCann (calf) have both already been ruled out.

McInally said: "Cappielow was always a good park to play football on when I was there and I am sure it still is. My players will enjoy that, especially as we are looking to bounce back from a 4-1 defeat from Stranraer last weekend that was a tad harsh."
