Blackpool vs AFC Bournemouth preview - Clark to keep faith

Blackpool may name an unchanged starting XI as they bid to make it five games unbeaten against Bournemouth.

Skipper Tony McMahon returned to the line-up instead of Stuart O'Keefe last time out and manager Lee Clark will be tempted to name a similar team this time around.

Midfielder Jose Miguel Cubero returned to England this week following treatment on his ankle in his native Costa Rica.

He is eyeing a January comeback, which is when defender Gary MacKenzie (Achilles) is also set to return to training, while Tom Barkhuizen (broken arm) and Jacob Mellis (hamstring) could be back by the end of the month.

Eddie Howe is set to revert back to his usual table-topping Bournemouth line-up when they make the trip.

The former Burnley boss made six changes to the side that beat Cardiff 5-3 to reward the players that had taken the Cherries as far as a Capital One Cup quarter-final against Liverpool.

So Marc Pugh, Charlie Daniels, Andrew Surman, Steve Cook and Harry Arter are amongst the players likely to step back into the side.

Tokelo Rantie, meanwhile, is undergoing a speedy recovery from a shoulder injury he suffered in November and he could return in time for South Africa's African Cup of Nations campaign.
