Lorient vs Nantes preview - Wachter hoping for survival boost

Yoann Wachter hopes Lorient can boost their Ligue 1 survival bid and provide a festive fillip for their supporters by beating Nantes on Saturday.
Lorient host their north-west neighbours at the Stade Yves Allainmat-Le Moustoir, bidding for a fourth win in six games.
"Against Nantes we will give everything to ensure we can go quietly on vacation, without worries," Wachter told fclweb.fr.
"It's a derby and, if we can offer a little Christmas gift to our fans, we will not deprive them."
Lorient beat Metz in Ligue 1 last weekend but lost to St Etienne in the Coupe de la Ligue in midweek.
Wachter wants a response to send Lorient into the winter hiatus in buoyant mood.
The defender also believes a win in a match he expects will be entertaining would bring an optimistic outlook for 2015.
"Nantes is a very good team," he added.
"They are in a good shape now. We are, too. I think we can expect a very good game.
"They have a lot of young people like us. It does not surprise me too much.
"I am not surprised by the quality of the game. But we must disregard the opponent and focus on us.
"The key is to get three points, to go up in the standings to get away from the relegation zone and attack in 2015 in the best ways."
Nantes arrested a three-match losing streak with victory over Bordeaux last time out in Ligue 1.
Two of the defeats came at Ligue 1 leaders Marseille and defending champions Paris St Germain.
Nantes beat Metz in the Coupe de la Ligue to advance to the quarter-finals and are bidding for a third straight win to also head into the winter break on a high.
