Monchengladbach vs Werder Bremen preview - Head-scratcher for Skripnik

Werder Bremen coach Viktor Skripnik has an attacking dilemma for his side's trip to Borussia Monchengladbach on Wednesday after witnessing Melvyn Lorenzen's man-of-the-match display at the weekend.
Lorenzen, 20, celebrated his first start with a goal in Bremen's 3-3 draw with Hannover, but the man who replaced him, 19-year-old Davie Selke, also found the back of the net in that game.
More established forward Nils Petersen was left on the bench, but he is also candidate to lead the line against Gladbach in the continued absence of the injured Franco Di Santo.
However, having started his first game, Lorenzen now wants more.
"This goal showed me that I can make it, even if it may seem unreal," he said on his club's website.
"I'm in a fierce battle for places and I know that I've got to keep my foot down while I've only been back in training for three weeks and I've got to bear that in mind too, but I still think my chances aren't bad."
With such options, Borussia Monchengladbach coach Lucien Favre is not surprised Bremen have scored so many goals this season, even if they are currently inside the bottom two.
"I've watched their last four games and they're deadly from set-pieces," Favre said.
"Despite being second from bottom, they have scored three more goals than we have and that says everything about the quality they have.
"It's so tight in the Bundesliga that, apart from Bayern Munich, anybody can beat anybody, and that is why we've got to be 100 per cent focused."
Favre's men are currently fourth in the table with 10 points more than Bremen, but 15 points fewer than league leaders Bayern.
They are also six points adrift of Wolfsburg in second with two games of 2014 remaining.
