Livingston vs Falkirk preview - Lions likely to lose Jacobs

Kyle Jacobs is a major doubt for Livingston ahead of their game with Falkirk.

Jacobs is nursing a knock sustained in the 5-1 success over Raith Rovers last weekend, with the bottom-of-the-table West Lothian side already missing the injured Jason Talbot (hamstring), Brad Donaldson (ankle) and Burton O'Brien (hand).

However, Lions boss John McGlynn is hoping that confidence is now flowing through his team after such a handsome win.

He said: "Winning last week has started the recovery of the points penalty imposed on us and we also had five different goalscorers which is great for confidence.

"Falkirk will have taken a boost from their late winner against Hibs so we will need the boost we have taken to win."

Owain Tudur-Jones is Falkirk's only absentee after the midfielder underwent knee surgery recently.

The Bairns will be looking to build on last weekend's 1-0 win over Hibs and push themselves into the play-off chase.

Technical director Alex Smith said: "It was a hard fought win over Hibs and it was a deserved win. It is also a win that would be great to build on as another three points would get us right back into the mix for promotion.

"Livingston will also be on a high after a comprehensive success over Raith Rovers, but we want to build momentum for a promotion push. After beating Alloa and Hibs we are going for the hat-trick."
