Peterhead can welcome back Reece Donaldson after suspension against Stranraer.

But Scott Ross is a doubt after picking up a knock in training with injuries ruling out Ross Smith (knee) and Ryan McCann (calf).

Rory McAllister may also miss out as he is due to become a father.

Balmoor boss Jim McInally said: "Stranraer had an excellent result in midweek against Dunfermline but we knew how they good they are already as they have beaten us twice.

"We had a good win at Stirling last weekend and it would be terrific to follow that up."

Stranraer winger Willie Gibson, who missed out when the Blues won at Dunfermline on Tuesday to secure a February date with Dundee United in the Scottish Cup, is absent again with a calf injury.

Scott Robertson (knee), Sam McCloskey (ankle) and Adam Forde (foot) all remain out.

Boss Stephen Aitken said; "We have had a demanding week but a rewarding one as we have defeated two full-time sides.

"We only had a very light training session on Thursday as the boys need to be fresh to face an experienced Peterhead side that will want revenge for our two wins over them."
