Morton goalkeeper Derek Gaston will face a fitness test ahead of kick-off against Brechin.

Gaston has a thigh injury while Grant Adam is set to feature as a trialist for a second week running as Nico Caraux is absent with a groin problem.

Sean Crighton and Conor Pepper miss out after being dismissed in the 2-0 defeat by Stranraer last Saturday with Reece Hands absent with a pelvic problem and Thomas O'Ware a major doubt.

Manager Jim Duffy said: "We have had a couple of disappointing results but we have to look forward and not back. Brechin will be tough opponents, however it is a game we will be looking to win.

Brechin, on an unbeaten run of eight games, miss only Callum Tapping who had knee surgery recently.

The Glebe Park men head to Cappielow on the back of a 4-2 Scottish Cup replay success over Annan with manager Ray McKinnon saying: "I was delighted with that performance especially in the first half when Andy Jackson scored a hat-trick.

"He works really hard for the team and the goals will have done his confidence a lot of good.

"Morton have had a couple of disappointments recently, however they are a good side with good players so while we are in good shape this will be a tough game."
