Watford vs Wigan Athletic preview - Hornets are buzzing

Watford boss Slavisa Jokanovic has a virtually full-strength squad available for the visit of Wigan.

Defender Gabriel Tamas is the only injury absentee, with the Romanian still recovering from the ruptured cruciate ligaments he suffered in September.

Jokanovic therefore has the option of sticking with the side which ended a run of four straight defeats in emphatic style by thrashing Fulham 5-0 at Craven Cottage last Friday.

Skipper Troy Deeney showed he is back to full fitness following a recent hamstring injury with a hat-trick against the Cottagers and will lead the line again.

Shaun Maloney will be assessed again before Wigan's trip south.

The Scotland international has been struggling with illness lately and again missed training earlier in the week as a result.

Striker Martyn Waghorn has a shoulder injury and is expected to miss at least another week.

Oriol Riera was not in the squad last week due to an ankle knock while changes may be forthcoming for a Latics side yet to win under Malky Mackay.
