Leeds United vs Fulham preview - Bellusci worry for Leeds

Posted Friday, December 12, 2014 by PA

Leeds defender Giuseppe Bellusci remains a fitness concern for head coach Neil Redfearn ahead of the home game against Fulham.

Bellusci missed last week's defeat at Ipswich with a knock and skipper Jason Pearce is expected to resume alongside Liam Cooper if the Italian misses out again.

Redfearn has no major new injury or suspension concerns but could be tempted to make one or two changes after seeing his side lose 4-1 at Portman Road.

Midfielder Rudy Austin and striker Billy Sharp are both pushing for recalls to the starting line-up, while Chris Dawson is hoping to make his first league start of the season.

Fulham will be without Marcus Bettinelli through suspension following his red card in last Friday's 5-0 defeat by Watford, so Gabor Kiraly starts in goal.

Defenders Fernando Amorebieta (knee) and Tim Hoogland (pelvis) are still sidelined along with goalkeeper Jesse Jeronen (knee) and young winger Lyle Della-Verde (ankle).

Sean Kavanagh is back in training after a thigh injury and will play for the club's Under-21s on Saturday, as will Adam Taggart who is yet to make his Whites debut due to a groin problem.

Striker Ross McCormack will lead the line against the club he left in the summer.
