Lens 1 - 1 Lille OSC - Lens grab late point

Adamo Coulibaly snatched a last-gasp 1-1 draw for Lens to dash Lille's hopes of a first win in 12 matches.

Idrissa Gueye put Lille in front two minutes after the interval and Les Dogues must have felt they were finally destined to end their barren spell.

But Coulibaly popped up to power home a headed equaliser in the final minute to ensure the Derby du Nord ended all square at the Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

Lens are now two points adrift of safety while Lille remain 15th - just three points above the danger zone.

Les Dogues' hopes for bragging rights and a long-awaited three points were dealt a double blow inside the first 25 minutes.

First, centre-back Franck Beria picked up a knock and had to go off after 11 minutes, then Marvin Martin also picked up an injury and had to follow him 10 minutes later.

With Lille still regrouping, Coulibaly picked up Pierrick Valdivia's cross, skipped past two defenders, and saw his right-footed strike go agonisingly wide of the right post.

Once Lille steadied the ship they began to ask questions, with on-loan Liverpool forward Divock Origi going close seven minutes before the break.

There was still time for Coulibaly to try his hand again, this time with a headed effort at the near post from Lalaina Nomenjanahary's cross. He failed to find the target, but it was a warning shot that went unheeded.

The visitors got their noses in front in the 47th minute, with Gueye capping off a free-flowing move that involved both Ronny Rodelin and Nolan Roux as he lashed it past Lens keeper Rudy Riou from close range.

Origi threatened to double their lead with 20 minutes left on the clock, but he was unable to find a finish at the end of a magnificent, mazy run that had Lens chasing shadows.

He was made to rue that miss, though, when in the final minute Coulibaly rose high and made no mistake from Nomenjanahary's delivery to give Lille keeper Vincent Enyeama no chance.
