Accrington defender Tom Aldred grabbed an equaliser against Sky Bet League One side Yeovil and both will be in the hat for the FA Cup's third round after a 1-1 draw.

League Two side Accrington started well and on-loan Huddersfield striker Matt Crooks missed a superb chance for an opener when he was clean through with only goalkeeper Jed Steer to beat before firing wide.

Yeovil grew into the game and opened the scoring after 30 minutes when Sam Foley's free-kick was fired home by defender Jordan Clarke, who got ahead of his marker.

Stanley boss John Coleman must have had some harsh words at half-time as it was all Accrington in the second half.

Piero Mingoia had an effort cleared off the goal-line while the home side had two strong penalty appeals waved away.

Accrington got the goal they deserved for their pressure in the 64th minute when a long ball to the edge of the area found centre-half Rob Atkinson, who twisted round and set up Aldred for the defender to blast home his first goal of the season.

Shay McCartan could have won it for Stanley, but his free header hit the post in the 85th minute, while goalkeeper Jack Rose tipped over Yeovil defender Stephen Arthurworrey's header in added time in a breathtaking finish.
