Stirling Albion vs Peterhead preview - McLaren targets elusive first win

Stirling Albion manager Stuart McLaren must chase his first win in charge without Lewis Coult (ankle) and Darren Lee Smith (ankle) against Peterhead.

Willie Robertson also misses out through suspension, but Lewis Small has joined the club on loan from Falkirk and is expected to feature.

McLaren said: "We made lots of chances against Raith Rovers last weekend, but unfortunately never took them.

"I'm very encouraged by the threat that we posed and I'm looking forward for a repeat of that with a more ruthless approach.

"They have a very good striker in Rory McAllister and I will know how much our defence has improved by the way they handle him."

Peterhead will be without defender Reece Donaldson as he is serving the one-match suspension.

Ross Smith (knee), Ryan McCann (calf) and Fraser McLaren (hamstring) all miss out, while Dean Cowie and Rory McAllister are doubtful.

Manager Jim McInally said: "We finished our last game by grabbing a late equaliser against Brechin.

"We now want to build on that against a Stirling side that are showing signs of improvement under their new manager.

"Winning puts pressure on the teams above us in the promotion race."
