Nottingham Forest vs Charlton Athletic preview - Banned Britt can't do his bit
Posted Friday, December 05, 2014 by PA
Nottingham Forest will be without leading scorer Britt Assombalonga when they host Charlton.
Assombalonga was sent off for deliberate handball late on in the defeat to Birmingham last weekend and the 12-goal striker will serve a one-match suspension.
Centre-half Jamaal Lascelles is expected to recover from a tight groin, meaning everyone involved at St Andrew's will be available for selection.
Defender Jack Hobbs (ankle) and midfielder Andy Reid (groin) are progressing well as they recover from injury and it is hoped they will be back in first-team contention around Christmas time.
Charlton's injury problems have not eased.
Yoni Buyens continues to receive treatment on a hamstring injury and boss Bob Peeters said he will be patient with his midfielder.
Franck Moussa is also doubtful with a knee injury that has kept him sidelined for the last month while goalkeeper Stephen Henderson is out with a shoulder problem.
Left-back Rhoys Wiggins (foot) and striker Simon Church (shoulder) also remain sidelined.
