Plymouth Argyle 1 : 1 York City - Hyde rescues point for Minstermen

Jake Hyde scored an injury-time equaliser as York ended Plymouth's run of five home Sky Bet League Two wins without conceding in a 1-1 draw at Home Park.

Hyde reacted first after goalkeeper Luke McCormick had saved substitute Diego De Girolamo's diving header at the foot of the post.

Bobby Reid proved an instant hit on his return to Plymouth on loan from League One leaders Bristol City.

Reid swept home a third-minute opener for Argyle from the right-hand side of the box with a sweet lifted shot which took a kind deflection off left-back Femi Ilesanmi's back, up and over outstretched City keeper Alex Cisak and into the far corner.

Bobby Reid sent over a cross that Reuben Reid headed powerfully down at the far post, gathered by Cisak, as Plymouth continued to patiently press.

At the other end Hyde did well to beat marker Curtis Nelson but incoming Josh Carson fired over at the far post.

Substitute Deane Smalley volleyed just over in the 90th minute and that miss proved costly as Hyde rescued York four minutes into added time.
