Nice 0 : 0 Stade Reims - Nice and Reims play out stalemate

Nice and Reims played out a goalless Ligue 1 draw at the Allianz Riviera.

The result means that Reims are now six games unbeaten and they moved into the top half of the table, while Nice are one point and one spot further back in 10th.

Reims began the game strongly and after six minutes Nice goalkeeper Moez Hassen was called upon for the first time.

Antoine Deveaux's effort from the right was pushed away by the hosts' stopper before Nicolas De Preville saw his shot turned away for a corner on the follow up.

The hosts came back into the game and after 14 minutes Dario Cvitanich should have done better when a corner fell to him six yards out, but with just Johnny Placide to beat, he failed to find the net.

Seven minutes later, the Argentinian headed over when well placed from Jordan Amavi's cross, before Reims' Mickael Tacalfred headed wide of the target after De Preville's superb delivery found him at the back post.

Just before the break Valentin Eysseric went close for the hosts after dribbling his way into the area but his well-struck effort was gathered low down by Placide.

Reims should have gone ahead four minutes after the restart when De Preville found Bourillon just 12 yards out but his effort with the inside of his right foot shaved the outside of Hassen's post.

The home crowd were becoming restless and the groans got louder when Eyserric shot wide from a long way out.

Chances were few and far between in the second period and Prince Oniangue and De Preville both fired wide for the hosts with 15 minutes left.
