Burton Albion FC vs Luton Town preview - Same again for Hasselbaink
Posted Friday, November 21, 2014 by PA
Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink could name an unchanged side against Luton for his first home game as Burton boss.
Hasselbaink made a winning start as Albion manager on Monday night with a 3-1 win at Wycombe, although the Dutchman has since added Bryn Morris to his squad and the Middlesbrough teenager, who can play in midfield or in defence, will be pushing for a starting role.
On-loan goalkeeper Chris Weale will battle with Jon McLaughlin for the gloves as Dean Lyness is ruled out for four months with a broken leg.
Ian Sharps (foot) faces a race against time to be fit while fellow defender George Taft is easing his way back into contention following a hamstring injury, but Jimmy Phillips is still a couple of weeks away from making a comeback as he recovers from a knee problem.
Luton midfielder Alex Lawless faces an anxious wait to see if he has chipped a bone in his foot, after being ruled out of the trip to Staffordshire.
Lawless has managed just four appearances this season due to a hamstring problem but suffered this latest injury during the home victory over Northampton at the end of October.
The Hatters development squad beat Cambridge 4-1 this week with Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu, Charlie Walker, Curtley Williams and Alex Wall all involved.
It leaves Luton in good shape with just Lawless, Ross Lafayette (hernia) and Paul Connolly unavailable.
