Tranmere Rovers vs Southend United preview - Stockton set for Rovers return

Cole Stockton could play his first Tranmere game since September against Southend.

The striker has been struggling with a pelvic injury but is back in full training and Rovers boss Micky Adams has confirmed his availability for Saturday's game, along with three other injury absentees.

Jason Koumas (groin), Danny Woodards (foot) and Eliot Richards (knock) are also in contention.

Adams signed Calaum Jahraldo-Martin and Will Aimson on loan deals from Hull this week and both could make debuts, with Armand Gnanduillet having been recalled by Chesterfield and Josh Thompson picking up a hamstring injury.

Southend have a trio of key players back, with Myles Weston, Jakub Sokolik and Jerome Williams all in contention again.

Midfielder Weston has been away on international duty with Antigua, featuring twice in the Caribbean Cup and scoring in a 2-2 draw with Haiti.

Defenders Sokolik and Williams were both suspended for last weekend's 1-0 win over Hartlepool after picking up five yellow cards this term.

Ben Coker remains sidelined with an elbow injury he suffered early on in September but he has had a brace removed and could return to training soon.
