Monchengladbach vs Eintracht Frankfurt preview - Gladbach look to bounce back

After losing for the first time in 17 games this season, Borussia Monchengladbach are determined to make an immediate return to winning ways when they host Eintracht Frankfurt this Saturday.
A 1-0 loss at Borussia Dortmund was not a true reflection of the Foals' quality, according to their coach Lucien Favre, whose side have already beaten Frankfurt this season - 2-1 in the DFB-Pokal just a few weeks ago.
"We didn't play our best performance either at the back or up front in Dortmund," said Favre.
"But we've analysed that game and now want to do better against Frankfurt.
"It's neither an advantage nor a disadvantage for us to have played against them recently. That was a cup game, this is the league and the two are incomparable.
"They are a team with a great deal of potential and we've got to be ready for some hard work."
Gladbach, who were beaten in Dortmund by an extraordinary own goal from Christoph Kramer, can welcome Granit Xhaka back from an ankle injury, but Martin Stranzl is a doubt and Ibrahima Traore may be given a break after only returning from international duty with the Ivory Coast on Thursday.
Frankfurt had fewer players spread around the world during the past fortnight, allowing their coach Thomas Schaaf to work intensively with his squad.
"I really think there's a lot of potential in this team," said the 53-year-old in the Bild newspaper.
"We're not blind and naive and we can see where we need to improve, but I thought things could have been much worse than they actually are."
Defeat on Saturday would certainly make things worse for the Eagles with the prospect of them slipping inside the bottom three if results elsewhere go against them.
