Rochdale vs Doncaster Rovers preview - O'Connell back for Dale

Rochdale's on-loan defender Jack O'Connell is expected to be the only addition to an otherwise unchanged squad for the home game against Doncaster.

Centre-half O'Connell, on loan from Blackburn, did not have permission to play in the midweek FA Cup replay win against Northampton, and manager Keith Hill, who has no new injury or suspension worries, must choose between him and Ollie Lancashire.

Striker Ian Henderson sits out the final game of his three-match ban and midfielder Peter Vincenti remains sidelined with a knee injury.

Midfielders Scott Tanser and Jamie Allen, plus forward Calvin Andrew are among those pushing for recalls.

Nathan Tyson should return for Doncaster.

Tyson was rested for the FA Cup tie at Weston-Super-Mare on Tuesday night. The forward could go straight back into the starting line-up in place of Theo Robinson, in what would probably be the only change made by Rovers boss Paul Dickov.

Dean Furman is not due back from international duty with South Africa until Friday but the midfielder is expected to be in the squad that travels to Spotland.

Meanwhile, Rob Jones is back in full training but will not be risked at the weekend while fellow defenders Jamie McCombe and Cedric Evina (knee) also remain out injured.
