Fleetwood Town vs Walsall preview - McLaughlin back for Cod Army

Conor McLaughlin comes back into the reckoning for Fleetwood against Walsall at Highbury.

The Northern Ireland international, who was this week named League Two Player of the Year at the Northwest Football Awards, was in Romania last Friday night ahead of the Cod Army's long trip to Yeovil the next day.

Graham Alexander has no new concerns but Jamie Proctor remains suspended, while fellow strikers Dave Ball and Jamille Matt (both leg) are long-term absentees.

Martin Paterson could make his home debut in tandem with Scott Dobbie up front, although fellow loanee Tom Hitchcock will hope for a starting berth too.

Adam Chambers is available for Walsall after they won their appeal against his red card.

The midfielder was sent off in Tuesday's 1-0 FA Cup replay defeat at Shrewsbury but it has been overturned.

Top scorer Tom Bradshaw unlikely to figure for the Saddlers as he recovers from a hamstring injury but is expected back against Coventry next weekend.

Midfielder Sam Mantom being is also assessed ahead of the game after he jarred his knee in training - the same one which he injured in pre-season, limiting him to just four appearances.
