Colchester United vs Coventry preview - Kpekawa set for Colchester bow

Cole Kpekawa will go straight into the Colchester squad for Saturday's League One game against Coventry after joining on a one-month loan from QPR.

The 18-year-old has featured for the R's successful Under-21s side this season and can play at left-back or centre-half.

U's boss Tony Humes made the move after defenders Magnus Okuonghae and Frankie Kent both missed last week's 3-2 loss at Barnsley due to injury.

Midfielder David Fox was able to shake off the effects of a knock to feature in that game against his former club and is again set to be fit.

Jordan Willis is out for up to three weeks with a hamstring injury to end his ever-present run for Coventry.

The defender had played in all of the Sky Blues' 22 games this season but will sit out the trip to the Weston Homes Community Stadium.

Boss Steven Pressley was looking at Rotherham's Kirk Broadfoot as a replacement but could not agree a loan deal with the Millers.

Seb Hines (hamstring) is also missing along with Danny Pugh (ankle) and goalkeeper Lee Burge is still suspended.
