AFC Telford vs Basingstoke preview - Bucks monitoring several

AFC Telford boss Liam Watson will assess his walking wounded ahead of their FA Cup first-round replay with Basingstoke.

Neill Byrne (ankle) and Sean Clancy (collarbone/ribs) suffered injuries last week and will definitely miss out but captain Steve Akrigg and Kristian Platt could return in time as Watson's men look to set up a tie with League One Bristol City.

Michael Grogan's knock last Wednesday has left him also facing a race against time to be available.

Watson will definitely be without Friday's loanees Karl Ledsham and Kyle Brownhill, who are unable to play having been signed since the original tie, while Freddy Hall is cup-tied.

Basingstoke will be able to welcome back two suspended players when they make the trip.

Manny Williams and Liam Enver-Marum were both banned for Saturday's 1-0 defeat to St Albans but are available and could come straight back in to the starting line-up.

Lloyd Macklin replaced the injured James Harper at the weekend in the one change from the draw with Telford and he will hope to have done enough to keep his place.

Ryan Case arrived from Braintree on Friday and was on the bench against St Albans but will not be able to feature in their fourth FA Cup tie of the season.
