Jamie McCluskey's goal meant Morton continued their impressive form as they recorded a 1-0 win against Airdrie.
Jim Duffy's men stretched their unbeaten run to five games by beating the opponents they also cast aside on Tuesday in the cup.
Ricki Lamie spurned a great opportunity for the visitors early on after being picked out by Declan McManus at the back post but he could only fire wide.
Midfielder McCluskey put Morton in front when he met McManus' low cross inside the six-yard box five minutes before the interval.
Airdrie's Nathan Blockley saw an effort narrowly sail over the bar after the break before good interplay between Conor Pepper and McManus almost ended in a second goal for the Ton.
Defender Patrick Boyle tested goalkeeper Derek Gaston with a long-range drive for Airdire late on but Morton survived to record their third win in eight days.
