Ayr Utd. 2 : 3 Peterhead - Marvellous McAllister sinks Ayr

Rory McAllister scored a hat-trick as Peterhead stretched Ayr's winless run to five games with a 3-2 victory.

The visitors lead three times during the contest and it was McAllister's third goal 10 minutes from time which settled the contest.

McAllister gave The Blue Toon the lead in the eighth minute by slotting the ball into the bottom left-hand corner.

Craig Beattie came on as a substitute for Ayr just after the break and levelled the score with a right-footed effort nine minutes into the second period.

McAllister put the visitors back in front, though, when he doubled his tally from the penalty spot 19 minutes from time.

Three minutes later Ayr earned a penalty themselves and Scott McLaughlin stepped up, firing the ball home for his sixth goal of the season.

But Peterhead scored the winner 10 minutes from the end as McAllister grabbed his hat-trick and his ninth of the campaign to take the match-ball and points back with the visitors.
