Livingston vs Dumbarton preview - Livi's Gallagher not ready to roll

Posted Friday, November 14, 2014 by PA

Livingston will have to do without the suspended Declan Gallagher if they are to end a disappointing run by beating visitors Dumbarton.

They will climb above their opponents in the table with a win but Brad Donaldson and Mark Burchill are also sidelined with ankle problems and Simon Mensing has a calf injury. Jason Talbot, Craig Sives, Gary Glen, Rob Ogleby and Jordan White are all struggling.

Manager John McGlynn said: "We could face a real shortage of bodies if the doubtful players don't make it, but we just need to get on with things.

"Results have been disappointing but performances have been good, we are just struggling to score which undoes all the good work."

Dumbarton also have a number of injury doubts with Mark McLaughlin, Chris Turner, Mitchell Megginson, Jordan Kirkpatrick, Hugh Murray and Chris Kane struggling to make the trip.

Manager Ian Murray said: "After a good run of results we have struggled recently and hopefully we will see a positive reaction from the players.

"Livingston have also had a disappointing spell and they will have targeted a home game against a part-time side as a great opportunity to get things going again for them.

"However we are ahead of them in the table just now and have every intention of staying ahead of them."
