York City vs Oxford United preview - Hyde and Fletcher to get York nod

York boss Russ Wilcox is expected to pair Jake Hyde and Wes Fletcher up front in the home game against Oxford.

Deon Burton has returned to parent club Scunthorpe after damaging medial knee ligaments in only his second appearance for the club in last week's FA Cup draw against AFC Wimbledon.

Another loan signing, Bournemouth defender Stephane Zubar, is hoping to make his first start after stepping off the bench last week, but John McCombe is expected to shake off the knock that forced him out of the cup clash.

Midfielder Josh Carson is closing in on his first appearance of the season following a serious knee injury.

Oxford could recall top scorer Danny Hylton when they make the long trip.

The 25-year-old missed last weekend's 3-1 FA Cup win over Grimsby having picked up his fifth yellow card of the season but he will want to step back into the side having scored four goals in his last three appearances.

His comeback means boss Michael Appleton has a selection dilemma upfront after James Roberts stepped in and scored his first two goals for the club and Brian Howard also impressed in place of Tyrone Barnett.

Appleton is keen to add one or two loanees to his squad in the near future as he looks to pull the U's away from 19th place in League Two.
