Morecambe vs Bury preview - Davies set for Shrimps recall

Scott Davies will come back into the reckoning for Morecambe when they face Bury at the Globe Arena.

The on-loan Fleetwood goalkeeper was unavailable to feature in the FA Cup loss to Dover but should replace Joe Lumley in the starting XI.

The Shrimps needed to sign two stoppers on loan because Barry Roche (hip) is out for the season while Andreas Arestidou has suffered a setback with his ankle problem.

Mark Hughes is doubtful having missed out against Dover due to injury while midfielder Jamie Devitt (hamstring) is a long-term absentee.

Bury will once again be without Ryan Lowe when they make the trip.

The veteran striker is suffering with a hernia problem and might be another week away from returning yet, so Hallam Hope could be in line for a place in the starting XI having rejoined on loan this week.

Fellow forward Daniel Nardiello should overcome the blow to the back he received against Hemel Hempstead, but full-back Craig Jones (hamstring) might not return until November, while new on-loan goalkeeper Scott Loach is expected to continue between the sticks.

Bolton loanee Hayden White is still waiting to make his Shakers debut but the defender will be free to do so after this game when his three-match suspension will be completed.
