Vicente del Bosque has announced who is to be the replacement for Cesc Fabregas, who is out injured.
The man chosen for the job is Villarreal player Bruno Soriano, who will join up with the Spain team in the next few hours to prepare himself for the upcoming games against Belarus and Germany. Previously, Cesc had failed to pass the fitness tests that the team's doctors submitted him to.
The Chelsea midfielder arrived in Madrid on Tuesday to undergo the pertinent tests. After returning to the national team's training centre, "Ciudad del Fútbol" on the outskirts of Madrid to have lunch with his teammates and bid his farewells, he returned to London to continue his road to recovery.
Cesc played all 90 minutes of the game against Liverpool and after the game Mourinho admitted that the player had played injured. "He has an injury to his thigh, he is injured but told me that he could play. If he goes with the Spain team, he will play again", the Portuguese manager said.
As a result of the doctors' findings and Del Bosque's decision to drop him, Cesc Cesc will miss out on the Euro 2016 qualifier against Belarus on 15th November and also the friendly against Germany on 18th November. Bruno Soriano is the man chosen to take his place.
