Notts County 0 : 0 Accrington Stanley - Stanley battle to earn replay

Tom Aldred led by example in defence as a determined Accrington booked themselves a first-round replay against Notts County after scrapping to a goalless draw at Meadow Lane.
Despite arriving with a host of injury problems and players unavailable, the League Two side showed no fear against the Magpies who are riding high one division above them, although they were indebted to a crucial block from Aldred to deny Ronan Murray.
They started the better of the two sides with Shay McCartan going close with an acrobatic volley.
Gradually Notts began to find some momentum with Gary Jones firing a drive just wide, before Murray glanced a header off target.
But their best chance came early in the second half when Michael Petrasso combined with Garry Thompson to tee up Murray, whose shot was superbly blocked by Aldred.
John Coleman's visitors began to show more bravery going forward late on, but struggled to fashion any chances to trouble Roy Carroll.
Thompson sent a curling effort wide in stoppage time with both sides now set for a replay next Tuesday.
