Borussia Dortmund vs Monchengladbach preview - Foals feeling in fine fettle

Not even a delayed return from Cyprus has dampened the mood in the Borussia Monchengladbach camp as they look to extend their unbeaten start to the Bundesliga season to 18 games at Borussia Dortmund on Sunday.
A technical fault meant the Foals did not return from their Europa League victory over Apollon Limassol at the scheduled time on Friday, but the reduction in preparation time for Sunday's trip to the Westfalenstadion was of little concern to coach Lucien Favre.
With the form his side are in, it is something they will just take in their stride.
"Of course it's frustrating, but we can't do anything about it," said the Swiss coach on his club's official website.
"At the moment, we're all happy. We've worked hard, but let's remember it's only November and we've got to carry on working hard and picking up points."
That would normally be a difficult task in Dortmund, but the Westfalenstadion has been a strangely inviting arena for guests this season.
With three defeats already, Dortmund's home record is emblematic of the overall problems Jurgen Klopp's men are having in the Bundesliga, even if they are going great guns in the Champions League.
Favre is wary of reading too much into their domestic form, however, aware that his club's Westphalian neighbours still have the quality to do plenty of damage.
"I've seen a few of their games and they could have got different results," Favre said. "They are still an exceptional team, even if they are not getting good results right now.
"Dortmund still have quality and they have proven that in the Champions League. Sometimes it's just really small things that can decide between a win or a defeat."
More often than not, those small things have not gone Dortmund's way this season, which is why they are currently second from the bottom of the table rather than their usual position in the past two years, second from the top.
Having lost their last five Bundesliga games in a row, they are now in unfamiliar territory.
"If you look at Gladbach, then you see the flip side of the coin," Klopp said. "Right now, everything is going right for them while not a lot is going right for us.
"But we're sticking at it; we're working hard on our game and I hope that, pretty soon, we will be able to transform that into results."
Klopp has small doubts over two of his most important players, goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller and midfielder Marco Reus, who both have stomach bugs.
Tiredness after Friday's delayed flight is Favre's only concern, although not even that really seems to be bothering him.
