Peterhead vs Dunfermline preview - Patched-up Peterhead must 'focus'

Peterhead lost the services of on-loan Nicky Riley ahead of the home game with Dunfermline after the winger had his contract cancelled by parent club Dundee.

Ross Smith (knee), Dean Cowie (knee), Fraser McLaren (hamstring) and Ryan McCann (ankle), plus the suspended Reece Donaldson are also missing for the Blue Toon.

Better news for manager Jim McInally is that David Cox is back from his ban, Cammy Kerr has joined on loan from Dundee and Bryan Gilfillan is fit.

McInally said: "We lost to Stranraer last weekend when we switched off for a short spell and lost a goal.

"We need to stay focused to do anything against Dunfermline."

Dunfermline skipper Josh Falkingham misses out on his side's first ever league visit to Balmoor after having his tonsils removed while the Pars are also without Ryan Wallace, who has a pelvic injury.

Manager Jim Jefferies said: "I took Kilmarnock there for a cup tie so I know how difficult a ground it can be.

"They are not long promoted and will be targeting home wins to secure points so we will face a determined side.

"But if the players go about things in the same manner as they did against East Stirling last weekend when we won 4-1 I will be pleased."
