Airdrie United vs Stenhousemuir preview - Airdrie bid for third time lucky

Airdrie meet Stenhousemuir for a third time this season and manager Gary Bollan has delayed naming his team until fitness checks on David Proctor and Nathan Blockley.

The on-loan Ben Everton-Richards is available as the Diamonds chase their first win over the Warriors as he was not allowed to play in last Saturday's goalless Scottish Cup tie with Morton by parent club Partick.

Bollan said: "Stenhousemuir have won twice against us and that is disappointing. The second game hurt as we had created loads of chances and were then caught with a sucker-punch.

"We have improved since then and this game will tell us by how much."

Stenhousemuir will be without Gary Oliver (hip) and fellow forward Kieran Millar is struggling after picking up a knock in last Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Brechin.

Manager Scott Booth said: "The last two games have been lost to late penalties, which I do not think were penalties.

"Hopefully things will turn for us at Airdrie.

"We're creating chances and have been the better team, but being beaten so it is very frustrating.

"We have managed two very good results against Airdrie this season and it would be terrific to take that up to three."
