Celta Vigo vs Granada CF preview - Fontas: We've achieved nothing yet

Celta Vigo defender Andreu Fontas is adamant his side can maintain their fine Primera Division form and push for a European spot.

The Galicians entertain Granada a week after stunning Barcelona to record the club's first ever win at the Nou Camp, a 1-0 victory which moved them up to sixth in the table.

Fontas insisted his team would not get carried away after that historic win, but also said there was no reason why their rich vein of form could not continue.

"I don't think we will be too relaxed in the game or think that we have achieved everything just by winning in the Nou Camp," he told Marca.

"The coach and the players are all aware that in football what you achieve one week counts for nothing. We have to keep on going in the same direction, because it is a spectacular one.

"We are in a privileged situation and we have no reason to stop dreaming that we can continue to be near the top of the table."

Fontas missed the win in Barcelona due to a knee injury but returns to the squad for the visit of Granada, as does midfielder Augusto Fernandez, who spent six weeks on the sidelines with a torn calf muscle.

However, both players may struggle to regain their places in a side that have taken seven points from their last three games.

There was more good news for Celta on Friday, as forward Nolito earned his first ever call up to the Spain squad for the upcoming games against Belarus and Germany, the latter taking place in Balaidos.

"This is a great reward for years of hard work," the forward told Celta's official television channel.

"I am grateful to all my team-mates for this call up. Celta have put a lot of faith in me and I dream of achieving great things here."

While Celta are in the ascendancy, Granada are in free fall, having taken just one point from their last six games.

Joaquin Caparros' side will also be without midfielder Manuel Iturra and forwards Piti and Darwin Machis for the trip.

However, goalkeeper Roberto gave a defiant message of optimism ahead of the game.

"We are aware of the delicate situation we are in but we have got out of situations like this before and we will get out of this one too," he told a press conference.

"We have total confidence in ourselves, and better results will come. We are capable of winning in Vigo and in any other stadium, so we're going there to look for the win."
