Port Vale go into the FA Cup first-round clash with MK Dons boosted by the news that defender Remie Streete has extended his stay until January and is available for the game.

The 20-year-old has impressed in wins over Leyton Orient and Colchester since arriving from Newcastle.

Vale boss Rob Page has vowed to name a strong side, insisting every competition is important to him.

However, he must decide whether to rest Michael O'Connor, Richard Duffy and Ryan McGivern, who are all on four bookings and one yellow card away from a ban.

MK Dons will be without suspended duo Darren Potter and Antony Kay for the tie.

Midfielder Potter and defender Kay are both banned for one match after picking up their fifth bookings of the season in last week's home win over Swindon.

Dons boss Karl Robinson is expected to make a number of unenforced changes, including giving teenage striker Kabongo Tshimanga a place on the bench.

The 18-year-old has scored 27 times already this season for the development team, including a hat-trick in Wednesday's Youth Cup win over Cambridge.
