Ipswich vs Watford preview - Hornets pair doubtful

Posted Friday, November 07, 2014 by PA

Watford have doubts over Sebastien Bassong and Gianni Munari.

Defender Bassong missed the midweek defeat at Birmingham with a calf problem and midfielder Munari sat out due to a groin injury, and both will be assessed before kick-off.

Playmaker Almen Abdi will be missing for the sixth straight match with his shoulder injury.

Gabriele Angella remains sidelined by an ankle injury and fellow defender Gabriel Tamas is a long-term absentee with cruciate ligament damage.

Bartosz Bialkowski will continue in goal for Ipswich as he deputises for Dean Gerken.

Gerken injured his groin in the warm up to Saturday's 2-0 win at Blackpool, meaning Bialkowski stepped in.

Luke Hyam is suspended after collecting his fifth booking of the season in Tuesday's 2-1 win over Wolves.

Ipswich would go above Watford with victory against their promotion rivals.
