Gladbach form pleases Kruse

Borussia Monchengladbach forward Max Kruse believes his side have discovered the right blend to be successful in the Bundesliga this season.

The Foals moved to within four points of league leaders Bayern Munich thanks to a 3-1 win over Hoffenheim on Sunday and Kruse believes the summer signings of Andre Hahn and Ibrahima Traore have rounded the team off nicely.

"I think that we've got the right mix in the team and that we now have more depth with the players doing really, really well at following the instructions the coach is giving us," he told Sport1 television.

"We're working really, really hard on the tactics in training and that is paying off."

Gladbach are playing arguably some of the most attractive football in Germany with their quick, counter-attacking style.

They came closer than anybody to beating Bayern just over a week ago and the size of the record champions' relief at picking up a 0-0 draw in that game speaks volumes about their performance.

"We're just delighted to have 20 points and to be third," added Germany international Kruse.

"We would have been pleased if Dortmund had picked something up in Munich, not because we want to say we're going to challenge them and win the league, but to keep the tension high in the league."
