Montpellier 2 : 0 Evian Thonon Gaillard - Berigaud sees off Evian

Kevin Berigaud helped shoot down his former club as Montpellier climbed to ninth place in Ligue 1 with a 2-0 home victory over Evian.

The man who left Annecy for the south of France in the summer had not scored for Montpellier until Saturday night but bucked that trend after 32 minutes of play against his old employers.

Anthony Mounier made the points safe with a second goal on the stroke of full-time, firing La Paillade into the top half of the table and plunging Evian to the bottom of the standings.
