Dagenham vs Shrewsbury preview - Murphy set for seasonal bow

Dagenham striker Rhys Murphy could make his first appearance of the season against Shrewsbury.

The 23-year-old played his first 90 minutes of the campaign in an Essex Senior Cup game on Monday after returning from the hip injury he picked up over the summer.

The Daggers remain without Abu Ogogo, though, as he completes the three-match suspension accrued following his red card against Newport.

Midfielder Joss Labadie has missed the past two fixtures with a hamstring strain but also played the full game on Monday night, raising his prospects of making this weekend's clash.

Shrewsbury have doubts over James Wesolowski after the midfielder pulled out of their League Cup game with Chelsea at the last minute.

The Australian had been nursing a groin injury but was initially named in the side, who eventually lost 2-1 to the Barclays Premier League leaders, before being withdrawn shortly before kick-off.

Liam Lawrence replaced him and is likely to start again should Wesolowski fail to recover in time.

Andy Mangan could start after he scored against Chelsea just 84 seconds after coming on as a substitute.
