Accrington vs Morecambe preview - Naismith still missing for Stanley
Posted Friday, October 31, 2014 by PA
Kal Naismith is likely to miss out again for Accrington's derby contest against Morecambe.
The Scottish forward has been granted time off following a family bereavement and is not expected to return to Stanley's fold for the Friday night fixture.
There are no new injury or suspension worries for boss John Coleman, though, with Jesse Joronen again expected to continue in goal after on-loan keeper Aaron Chapman (foot) returned to Chesterfield earlier this month.
Michael Liddle (knee) is back in full training while fellow defender Adam Buxton (thigh) is edging closer to a comeback.
Morecambe goalkeeper Barry Roche (hip) is out for the season so Fleetwood loanee Scott Davies will continue between the sticks.
Back-up stopper Andreas Arestidou is suffering from a stomach problem but could come into consideration when Davies' loan expires after a month.
Jamie Devitt is another long-term absentee for boss Jim Bentley, with the midfielder ruled out due to a hamstring problem, while full-back Joe Widdowson returned to Bury this week following his loan stint.
The Shrimps have failed to beat Stanley in any of their previous 14 Sky Bet League Two meetings and lost this fixture 5-1 last term.
